Birthday Card for my Mum

Me again, second post in the same day....!! LOL

Just a quick one to show you a card I made for my mum for her birthday last week.  I've used a Sarah Kay image and Portobello Road papers (which I got free in this month's Do Crafts magazine) and I love them.  I really like the vintage feel of them and the colours are lovely.

So again I handmade the flowers, using the same technique as in my first posting, I've coloured the image using prisma pencils and blended with sansodor, I hand drew and cut the letters for Mum and the sentiment is PC generated.

Thanks for looking

It's been a while........ again..!

Hi, all hope you are well.  It's been such a long time since I last posted (again) and unfortunately, even though I have been crafting, my blogging has been poor.  I've got out of the habit of blogging and visiting everyone else's blogs and leaving comments on the gorgeous cards you are making..!!  I'm going to try my best to get back to blogging and posting my pictures, as well as entering challenges.

I made a card yesterday which I think will fit in to this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge - "In the Garden".

The papers are from Design House Digital and are called Retrospect.  They are absolutely gorgeous and I love the colours.  I think this is one of my favourite cards so far as it looks so fresh and clean.  The set contains 47 different papers and 50 element and it can be obtained for free by taking part in their blog hop.  The sentiment square is part of the set and I've added my own text to it.  The image is from Pink Gem and is one of my choices from winning a few weeks ago and I've coloured it using prisma pencils.

The flower was handmade and I've been creating a few of them by cutting wobbly circles out (as I don't have any flower punches at the moment), cutting petals in to the circle, wetting the paper and scrunching it up and then I've been putting it in the oven to dry it out as it gives them a nice crunchy feel.  I've then used a bit of stickles to glam it up a bit and a couple of faux pearls.

I'm sure I'll be creating plenty more cards using these papers.   Anyway here's my card:-

Thanks for looking and hope you have a fab weekend.
