Sugar Bowl Challenge 39 - Lillian's Sketch

Hi bloggers,

Hope you're all having a good weekend so far. So a quick post from me today. I've made another entry for the
Sugar Bowl Challenge and this time I've done it correctly!! LOL

Recipe
DP - Cosmo Cricket - Material Girl
Image - Gorjuss Girl, Sugar Nellie
Flowers - Xcut punch

Again I've left it simple and I figured I'd put a sentiment on it as and when the need arises.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sugar Bowl Sketch

So I'm back with my second posting of today and I've decided to use the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl - was meant to be an entry but I didn't read it properly and forgot the Theme had to be something blue...! Oh well never mind, that'll teach me to read it properly next time..... LOL

I didn't want to put too much on the card as the papers are so delish that I didn't want to take any attention away from them. I've paper pieced Bumblebee's dress in the same polka dot paper on the background, stickled her wings (which you can't really see) and then I've just punched out matching flowers.

Recipe
DP - MME Quite Contrary Paper Pack (freebie in mag)
Image - Gorjuss Girl Bumble Bee
Sentiment - Stash
Coloured with prisma pencils and sansodor
If you've got any Sugar Nellie images, you should head over to the challenge and enter this week, they have a fab prize up for grabs for one lucky winner - the 4 new 'Fun & Fairytales’ Mangas and a set of Aquamarkers.

New Baby......

Morning bloggers, well it's dull and overcast here today and blowing a gale force wind! Had to chase my bin down the drive once already.... wonder how many more times it will fly away! LOL

Todays card is one that I made last night for my friend Emma. We've known each other for nearly 9 years having started working together back in 2001 (I think it was). She had a beautiful baby girl last week.

How gorgeous is this image? It's Peekaboo from Karens Doodles and it's sooo cute. The papers are a freebie from The Craft Table. The letters, I've created myself using a font called Baby Building Blocks.

I feel like I want a bit of a crafty day today, so may be back a bit later if I manage to get anything made.

Enjoy your day folks.

Wedding Card - Order

Hi fellow bloggers, not been posting or visiting much over the last few days. Been busy putting this card together and doing other bits and pieces at home.

So today's card. I was asked by a guy I used to work for to make him a card for his best friend who is getting married this weekend - the only requirement he had was that he didn't want pink or girly!

And here's what I came up with.

I can't remember exactly what the paper is called but it is by Papermania and I bought it from the Range. I printed out a heart template and cut them out of Cream Bazzill card and then sat for about 20 mins stamping the swirls on one heart in silver ink. The sentiment is printed off the PC and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Enjoy the rest of your day folks.

So I'm back with my second posting of the day. This card is for the Anyone for Anya Challenge - Anything Goes.

Again this challenge is a first for me. I've always loved these Miss Anya girls but have only just got them in my stash. I've already coloured up about 5 of them and will be putting cards together soon (hopefully!). They are such a pleasure to colour and I totally lurve them......

Recipe

  • Image - Miss Anya
  • Ribbon & Pearls - Stash
  • Coloured with prisma pencils & sansodor

I'll probably be back a bit later on to post yet another set of cards and to have a mooch around everyones blog to do some commenting. I'm off to hang my washing out and get my cleaning done so that the weekend is ours...

Enjoy your day, whatever you have planned.

Isabella's Sketchbook Challenge

Good morning blogland, from a lovely sunny Wakefield. Not been around much these last few days so I apologise for not commenting on your lovely cards.

I've made a few cards over the last week but not got round to uploading.

You may remember that we won the blog candy from the lovely Peri a couple of weeks ago. One of the prizes was 2 images from Isabella's Sketchbook. I've made the following card using the Chocolate & Coffee image. These are not the kind of images I would usually use but I loved colouring it up. I wanted to keep the card clean and simple and I really enjoy doing these kinds of cards, it makes a difference from making fussy cards all the time.

I'm going to enter my first ever entry in to this weeks challenge over at Isabella's which is Take a Break - Open Challenge. So we can make any project using any image and any theme.

Recipe

I'll be back in a mo with probably another 2 posts as I've got another challenge card and birthday cards which I made for Ann-marie.

ta ra for now

Baby's First Birthday

So I'm back with my second post of the day. It's my neighbour's little girls birthday on Sunday and I've made her the following card.

I had an idea in my head and for a change, it's turned out exactly how I wanted it - in the famous words of Hannibal from the A-Team "I love it when a plan comes together...." LOL

I folded a piece of A4 card and hand drew the number one so that part of it is on the folds (so when it's open, it is the same at the back and front).

Recipe
  • DP - Not sure the make, I think they are some scrap booking papers bought yonks ago
  • Eeyore is from a 2010 calendar which I bought half price earlier this year
  • Balloons - I hand drew these
  • Ribbon is from stash

I've attacked the the wings on Eeyore with stardust stickles (which I think you can just about make out!)

So thats a quick card and posting from me tonight. Enjoy your evening, whatever you're doing.

Time to Relax......?!

Hi all,

I'm back with a quick post this afternoon with a card I made for my little brother's birthday (altho he's bout a foot taller than me...!!). His birthday is on 4th July and I figured it would be fitting to go with the colour scheme of Red, White & Blue, given that it's Independence Day in the USA.

I wanted to use one of the images that I won from Peri's blog candy and "Time to relax" seemed just right.

Recipe

I've got a bit of time before I go to pick the boys up so think I might do a bit of crafting so may be back later.

Thanks for looking
